Sharing Your Faith By Pastor Lew Pizzala

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8

If you want to witness wherever you go let it be as simple as informally sharing your faith with others. Certain evangelism models can and often times make us feel uncomfortable.  Personality and temperament often times get in the way.  What would happen if witnessing was as simple as taking an interest in another; striking up a conversation and then looking for a way to simply share what you have experienced?  When Jesus met up with the woman at the well, He simply struck up a conversation with her; looked for an opening to witness and did it.

Most of us are more natural when it is informal. Start talking about the natural, go to the spiritual and discern if they are taking the bait.  If so, set the hook.  If not, transition back to the natural.  No longer is it “come and see”; now it is “go and tell.”

Prayer: “I want to tell people how they can have a personal relationship with Jesus.  Help me to be as wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove in my evangelism, lest I show the hook and not catch the lost.”
