Walking On Water

“And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to You on the water.” 29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.” Matthew 14: 28,29

Somebody once said: “Faith is always spelled
r-i-s-k.”Peter getting out of that boat and walking on water is a wonderful picture in those times that God calls us out of our comfort zone to take a risk and walk by faith.

There are two things you need to know when walking on water.
First – That you are looking at God; and
Second – That God is looking at you! isn’t it comforting to know that “the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.”

Where the muscle is challenged the blood flows. When you step out of the boat and exercise your faith muscles, there will be a fresh blood line that flows from Jesus to you. That flow of blood is the impartation of life. Listen for the voice of God and get out of the boat and walk on water.

Prayer: “Lord, I need you today to help me overcome my complacency of comfort. If you quicken me then I will be able to get out and take a risk for your glory.”
